have you driven it yet? I remember when Jester did his T-5 swap, he told me that he had a mile long 'stiffy' the first time he drove it.
if my 700 takes a **** again, I'm going
T-5... no doubt about it.

Yes, I drove it last Tuesday night for the first time. I am still finishing up the interior, but the car is fully driveable and I have taken it out 3 times so far, today for the longest stretch, on then freeway, etc. It rocks! It is so much fun, to be driving my same car, but now with a stick.

I know the woody feeling, I have been having trouble seeing around the object in my line of vision

can the T-5 be built to take horsepower from a V8? say 350HP

anyone do this to a T-5? How much did it cost and how hard was it? I hear rebuilding a manual is alot easier than rebuilding a automatic.

i ask because i dont want to have to switch transmissions(take out clutch pedal and switch consoles and all that shiat) if I dont have too and a T-5 will hold up(if worked over correctly).

Hey Tom, I'm almost there myself. I've got the clutch/brake pedal installed as well as the hydraulic clutch assembly. I would have been done if I could only remove the 6 bellhousing bolts - it's just on too tight. Anyway, I wanted to ask you in advance how you wired the neutral safety switch. Do I just splice the purple and yellow wire from the automatic wire harness and hook it up to either the purple or green wire of the neutral safety switch mounted to the clutch pedal? For the back-up light switch, how did you wire it? Thanks!

Gee, and I went through all the trouble of taking the Nash out of my car and putting the 700R4 back in.

On the wiring connector that used to go on the auto shift selector I just ran a jumper between the two park wires. I made a harness, and also ran a jumper from that connector down to the back up switch on the tranny.
For the clutch start switch, since the switch I had was the old style and the new style can't be grafted onto my pedals, I just bypassed it. I ran a jumper between the yellow and purple wire at the steering column.
