88CamaroSC 2.73 rear end upgrade ???'s

i have an 80k mile 1988 Sport COupe with L03,700R4,a nd 2.73 GU2,J50. I spin or wheel hop on hard starts. i want a POSI in the car. BW 3.27 rears with disks are available locally for around $400 (really clean one).

This seems about $50 to $100 high first off, but secondly i hear a lot of bad news regarding unavailability of repair parts like clutches.

So I have questions for the drivetrain experts.

1) What is the lowest cost way I can get from where I am now with my 1988 stock 2.73 GU2 rear end to where I need to be with a posi and rear gear in the range of 3.25 to 3.75 (preferably midway between the two)??

I am concerned that 2.73 to 3.27 will not be THAT noticeable a difference in takeoff.

2) Would any of the experts actually pay $400 for a clean used 3.27 POSI BW with discs (from an 88)??? Working condition is unknown, but it is really clean.

3) Would a good alternate plan be to find a 90-92 V6, 5spd rear, and put an SLP take off Torsen into it????

Thanks in advance guys. I am torn between staying somewhat correct for my year (88) by getting the BW in or sticking with my go quick as cheap as possible plan.

Yes I would.
That $400 is great for a complete rearend with discs.
The 3.27 will be a noticable difference from 2.73's and I think you will like it very much.
good luck
