hey, I've got an 86 trans am, they put a new motor in it, and put a 700r4 tranny from an 87 Z28 in it, well my question is, would doing that mess up the speedo, and how can I tell if my speedo is off, and how can I get that fixed?

Well if want to do it the easy way just take the speedo gears out of your trans now and put them in the new trans. Then you wont have to do any guessing... Pull off both of the tailshafts you might get lucky and they could be the same, but they arent hard to change... Kevin
