gears

i have 3.70 gears in my 87 iroc-z 5.7 tpi. does anyone else have these gears for their 9 bolts? if so do you feel they are too much gear for the tpi to handle? i run out of rpm by the time i hit the traps (don't want to go into od)!!!!

Transmission: Tremec T56

Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73

Definitely. I wouldnt put 3.70's on a stock TPI. You run out of power at 4600 RPMs or so. 3.70's put your power band at 5500.
