Engine: SBC 350
Transmission: 700R4
Trans ID

I have a 700R4 and the casting number is 8663549. I just want to make sure it is the correct trannsmission for the car before I start ordering parts. 1988 Camaro I-ROC Z

That doesnt sound like the right casting ID you are looking for.
87-88 ID numbers are like ( 7 yk m y 45335678-141 a ).
The number is found in a couple places. Easiest to see is on the passenger side, just above the trans pan bolt flange and on a flat machined surface.
