Cost of a T-56

How much would you guys out there in camaroland be willing to pay for a race-built T-56 6speed from a latemodel Camaro with only 7 miles on it. The guy blew up his engine and now needs to get rid of it.. any estimate is appreciated, i just would like to have a ballpark figure.. thanks

Car: 1990 Pontiac Trans Am
Engine: 355 TPI siamesed runners
Transmission: Tremec T56
Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
What does "race-built" mean? T56's usually go for $1200-1800 depending on condition and mileage.

I don't know what it means. This guy at work has an uncle that is willing to give it to me if I go over to his house and help him pull a stump out of the ground. He told me it was race built...Sounds like a good deal to me!

I'd pull the stump out of the ground. If it fits your car, that is a great deal, and if not, you can always sell it for alot more then it cost you to pull ot a stump.
