I want to firm up my 700R4 shifts >>?
Recently, I had a garage install an 2200rpm Art Carr torque converter. With the stock TC, I use to get rubber with the 1-2 shift. But now I have a softer shift probably due to the higher stall speed of the Art Carr TC.
What can I do to firm up these shifts?
I think that I'd get loer Ets if I had harder shifts. What do you guys think?

Can't do much because the harder shifting won't be felt through the "mush" of the sloppy high-stall converter, which you are seeing now. (EDIT: basically, the shift cannot be hard due to the fact that the tires are not directly linked to the engine output, at least lesser so thatn with an OEM low-stall converter) To shift hard again, you must shift at higher rpms under more pedal effort.
I find this a nice tradeoff because most of thie time, the softer/mushy feel witha high-stall is ok in daily/city driving but when you get the rev's up and the TV cable out, BANG!!!
