Re: TransGo Reprogramming Kit TH700

I've heard good things about the TransGo kit.
I've posted a question on this forum as well to see if the claims are accurate.

Get the TransGo kit from Dana at ProBuilt. There are some improvements they do on them and I hear nothing but great reviews about it.

Go to https://www.700r4l60e.com/store/home.php?cat=65 and you can choose what you want from these Shift kits. If you have any questions on this, let me know? Dana

Re: TransGo Reprogramming Kit TH700

hope i did not get to this post too late. look at my sig. i love it!!!! best kit i have ever really exp. i called the company and they told me what i should get. i got mine rebuilt with bigger boost valves. CORVETTE SERVOS dont waste money on jet or tci. and the 700-2 kit 700-3 is manual. the guy on the phone explained why you dont want this or that very good info. said my setup is one they put on dump trucks? roughly 450hp range. damn good for stock internals i think for a 700

I bought the following parts for my th700r4 :

- Masterrebuild Kit with Raybesto clutches
- Heavy Duty band
- TransGo Reprogramming Kit
- ACC Performance BossHog Nightstalker TorqueConverter 2200-2800 Stall

I hope, it´s a good choice ?!

Re: TransGo Reprogramming Kit TH700

I need to know what is done to the motor (If anything), what rear end gear ratio?, what torque converter do you plan on using? what is the intent of the vehicle? and anything else you think I should know? The more information I have, the better the matchup. Dana

Re: TransGo Reprogramming Kit TH700

only thing ive done to motor are just small bolt on's like open air element, msd wifes, cap, irridium plugs, flow master exhaust.

Its gonna be mostly for the street, maybe the strip once in a while
it has the 2.73 stock rear, and stock torque converter which is 12" ???

eventually i plan on doing heads, and motor work.

Re: TransGo Reprogramming Kit TH700

The Street/Strip rebuild kit will be more than enough for what you want it to do. Do you plan on staying with the stock torque converter? Dana

Re: TransGo Reprogramming Kit TH700

For now the converter will be stock when i can wrangle up the 300+ for a new TC i might, but heads look more appealing lol,
So will these shift kits destroy the stock TC ?
Should i wait till i can get the TC and do your shift kit at that time ?

and to make sure this is the one right ?

TransGo 700R4 Street/Strip Shift Kit 1988-1993 w/Accumulator Pistons w/Seals, Pins & Corvette Servo
Part Number: TGSSSK70088+ACC+CVS

This "modified" TransGo Performance Shift Kit is for 1988 & later 700R4's. Offers smooth part throttle shifts, shifts get firmer with more throttle. 10" or smaller diameter torque converter recommended. I use this kit in all of my Performance transmission build ups. See full description.

Re: TransGo Reprogramming Kit TH700

No, the Shift kits will not destroy the torque converter. And my Shift kits will be even easier on the whole driveline. As long as I know which TC you are going to use, I will setup the Shift kit accordingly. Dana
