Re: Shift kit

The trans go kit is considered a better kit. I have the B&M in my current tranny but when i swap in the new one it will have a trans go kit in it.

Are you saying that as time has gone by the tranny is getting sloppier in its shifting? If this is the case you need to get the tranny looked at and possibly rebuilt. a shift kit may hide the problem short term but will accelerate the destruction of the tranny.

Re: Shift kit

So was it a big improvement with the shift kit? My transmissions was rebuilt a few years back. I mite still need to take a look at it. I've never had the transmission slip so I'm pretty sure it good, only problem is fast acceleration shifting. I don't think it's getting worse I'm guessing I notice it more cause of the highway miles I'm putting on it. I go to accelerate fast on the ramp and it just doesn't shift like I want it to. I've read, that are transmissions "are known for over shifting and slipping". (not my words, review from "professionals").
Which one are you guys looking at SK®700-Jr or SK®700?

precisely, if it look like you got slipping problems the shift kit might help it, but itll only cover up the problem, and if all you want is the transmission to last you alittle longer till you upgrade or rebuild, then its fine, but if your looking for a true fix, id say if its slipping, look into a rebuild. if you have problems to when its shifts, then id look into the TV cable and make sure its properly adjusted, in fact if you cruise the transmission board youll run into a thread thats about this spring type thing you put at the end of the tv cable and itll improve your shifts to make them more aggressive and sports car-like.

OK well it's not slipping, so looks like I'm good. I'll look for that thread, that may help a lot too.
