I just had my 700 rebuilt. It has a stage 2 b&m shift kit. The thing just doesnt act right. IF you put it in Drive and just take off it just bam bam bam bam and your in 4th gear by 40 mph and smash it to the floor and all it does is drop to 3rd. We have set the cable with no luck. It also slips just a little going into 3rd

If we tighten the cable any more than it is it will not shift out of first gear.

 

Sounds like it has a third gear flare. 3-4 clutches may be going, or maybe a line pressure problem (not enough). Did it work fine before the shift kit install?

 

when it was built it had the kit installed. i just bought a corvett survo. Do you think this will help it grab 3rd better?
