Re: T5 FAQ - Everything we know about the T5

I have an 88 camaro sport 305 tbi 5 speed. I am swaping the engine out for a 69 350 and need to know what flywheel/starter combo I need. The factory flywheel has the small center hole which will not fit my crankshaft. Any help at all????
Thanks.

Re: T5 FAQ - Everything we know about the T5

the 69 block has a 2 piece rear main seal, the 88 has the newer 1 piece rear main seal that they started using in 86. the cranks are different so youll need a flywheel to fit the older style

Re: What flywheel/starter do I need?

try an 83-85 friebird/camaro then try any big truck before 86
the goal is to get the right number of teeth on the flywheel to my knowledge
gm only made to a small and large. In turn they made two starters the straight bolt pattern and staggered. The staggered one is for small flexplate/flywheel and the straight is for the big flexplate/flywheel

gimme a email at
