i have my interior completely gutted and i was sitting in the drivers seat and i looked at the shifter and it had two cables coming off of it. one was connected and the other wasn't i know one went to the tranny (the one that was connected) the other went up under the dash and i couldn't figure out where it went. i don't know if it has anything to do with it but whoever had it before me disconnected the button on the shift **** for whatever reason. thanks for any help.

 

The cable on the right is the park-lock cable, the one on the left is the shifter cable.
