anyone with b&m megashifter read this please!!!

im wondering what exactly it does to the lock up system in the tranny when installed in a 91 Z, it said you can leave it unhooked and it will only affect it in park, but my car is really boggy down low, it could be engine, as i just did alot of work there too, but i think it might be the tranny. anyone else have this happen to them after installing the shifter?? if so, how do you hook up a button to control it, and when would you need to turn it on/off???

Not sure exactly what your problem is.I fitted the same shifter to my 700R4 and it makes no difference to the operation of the transmission. If you have a problem with the convertor locking too quickly you can put a switch in to cure this.As you know when you operate the brake, this sends a live to the convertor lock which unlocks it.So what I did was to put a floor mounted dimmer switch in and I cut the wire which goes from the transmission to the brake switch(purple i think)just near to the brake pedal.I then ran it to the dimmer switch. Now when I operate the switch I am in effect kidding the transmission that the brake pedal is depressed thus the convertor will not lock. Then as soon as you operate the dimmer switch again the transmission goes into lock up mode
Hope this helps

Yeah, if you install the Megashifter by the book (as I did), torque convertor lockup won't be affected.

Are you talking about B&M's relay diagram for the idle speed?

yeah im talking about the relay daigram, i didnt put it in cause it said it would be fina for drivability without it, im just wondering if that causing the bogging, but i bought the relay, so i should just get off my *** and put that in , then ill know its not my tranny if that doesnt fix it right?
