I have heard you can replace factory 10 bolt posi clutches with Power Trax clutches. Anyone know if this is true or not?

 

What? The powertrax has no clutches(at least like a GM posi) It has a dog-tooth clutch which is teeth that lock and unlock. You need an open carrier to install the powertrax.

The auburn 'cone' style posi's arn't rebuildable either. Kinda sux IMO.

Hey-
If I get the $100 SLP carrier, does that have the posi unit in it or o I have to replace my worn posi clutches or what. I have a '91 POSI 10 botl in my GTA and its starting to slip[ a little. I [plan on using 4.10's and the SLP carrier... if it will solve my POSI issue. TIA
