No nothing new guy question
Hey, I bought my first car back, an 89 Firebird, with the hope of restoring it and learning about repais along the way. After doing some electronic work, I've decided to work on the transmission.
I was thinking about putting in the clutch myself, and taking the tranny out to take to a shop to be rebuilt. So a couple of questions..
1. I don't have a manual, and I am not sure what these cars weigh (V6), so before I jack it up I wanted to make sure my stands were good enough. (I've got a 2 ton jack, and 3 ton jackstands.
2. Is putting in the clutch a huge job, or a doable one for someone with time, but little experiance.
thanks

Re: No nothing new guy question
car weights 3300-3600 with a v8, so your stands are fine, a clutch is not a SMALL job, ive never done one, so ill let someone else chime in on the clutch question
