8.5 rear end

Do any of you guys run a 8.5 rear. Are they worth messing with. I have a little over 300 horse...will it be strong enough.
About what does it cost to get all of the mounts we need for our cars on another rear end?

For as much effort as you would have to go through to put some other 10-bolt in one of these cars, you might as well get either a 12-bolt or a F*rd 9". Evidently the people who sell them think the same way because those are the only ones I know of that you can buy ready to bolt in.

If you have 300 HP at the crank, the stock one will be fine as long as you keep it full of fluid (preferably synthetic) and aren't running slicks.
