t5 from 2.8 fit small block?

will a t5 from a 88 2.8 car fit a 89 iroc small block car(with the exception of the bellhousing of course)?

yes it can, however the v6 clutch disc is smaller, and the v6 tranny is geared differently.i wouldnt reccomend it but it can be done.
and i also beleive the output shaft has a different spline count in which case u would need a driveshaft from a v6 car.if anyone knows for sure pleas post, this info.

Transmission: Tremec T56
Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
Its the input shaft that is different, the output shaft is the same. I would not recommend doing this at all, but it is possible.
