transmission from 94 bird

I was wondering what transmissions came in the 94 3.4l v6 firebird? They will fit on a 89 rs v6, right?

Yep, it'll fit, the 3.4's a 60 degree V6 block, which means it's bolt pattern is the same for a 3.1, which is the same for a 2.8. However that '94 auto trans is a 4L60-E, meaning the "electronic" version of the 4L60 (old name = 700r4). So there'd need to be some kind of computer control for it...

ok... the automatic one is the 4L60-E... does that mean that the manual one is the 4L60? Also how much should i expect to pay for the manual one (a newer one with around 35k mi)? dont really want to get ripped off.

The 6 cylinder Camaros still get a t-5. The 4l60 is the "new" designation for the 700 as of 93 or 94. The -E designates electronic controls. 4-4 speeds l-longitudnal 60-relative torque
