Car: 1985 TRANSAM
Engine: 305
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.27
Borg & Warner 9-Bolt Differential Fluid?

I have a 1985 Transam and would like to change the rear diff fluid...

What is the factory recommended fluid to use? and additive?

Any gear oil from the auto parts store. i have used royal purple and mobil 1. 75-90 or something close to that. Some people say the 9 bolt does not need the additive, and others say it does. I only use the GM additive that you get form the dealership. The is you friend. Hope this helps you.
