Aluminum driveshaft
Aluminum driveshaft
does anyone know how much an alunminum driveshaft will affect performance on a stock 91 RS? I heard since it is lighter, it can spin a little faster but i wanted to know from someone that KNOWS.Thanks guys
In addition to being lighter, they are typically balanced a bit better, resulting in less vibrations and a higher critical speed.
if you are pushing a ton of HP they arent too difficult to break though.

Since it is lighter, it takes less for the engine to turn it. This results in less horsepower lost through the drivetrain. Check out http://www.ws6.com/mod-1.htm for the results. This isnt on a '91, but i will give you an idea. Doug
