Rear swap in 92RS
Rear swap in 92RS
Im planning on getting a new rear for my 92 RS and planning on 3.42 gears. I dont take it to the track at all really.. just for the street and highway. Could I go with a non-posi rear, or should I definitely get a posi? I was thinking I could just grab one out of a V6 car and swap that in.. Are the V6 rears or non posi ones any different in terms of strength? Also, what year rear should I look for? Im planning on getting drum brakes to avoid the MC and pro valve swap. So, what years would bolt right in? I know prior to 88? the axles are only 26 spline compared to my 28's, but I only have a slightly modded 305 TBI, so I think that should be ok.
