I have an 85 Trans Am with 3.23 stock rear end. Ive swapped the engine for a fresh 327 cu in Chevy. I would like to change the rearend to 3.73 or 4.11 posi.
What is the best way to go about it? Full rear end? Ring & pinion and a posi unit?
And the dumbest question of all.....what size is my rearend? 8.5", 7.5"?
Please help.

 

If you don't already have posi I would toss in a powertrax and 3.73's. 7.5 inch ring gear is what you have.
