Turning a one-legger into Posi
Was looking over Randy's Ring and Pinion earlier and was thinking to myself... when I get the money, go posi...
Now... is it possible to turn the one legger POS rearend on my 83Z into a posi by just buying the gears and the positraction unit ?
Randy's ring and pinion is at www.randysringandpinion.com ... anyone got any info for me?

the carrier is all you have to change. get a 2 series posi for 2 series gears or get a 3 series posi for 3 series gears. have them set-up by a mechanic and you will be good to go. however, I must say that in your position you may want to install a powertrax in your current set-up. You won't have to remove the gears or carrier. Do some searches on powertrax.

I want to replace the gears if I can...
Whats a good set to go? I want good launches but I also want to keep a good top speed... so 4.11's are out
I think I'm going to get all this done with Randy's Ring and Pinion since they're here in WA about 30 miles away... carrier and gears would be easier for me to do than a powertrax locker and new gears.. (I think)
any ideas?
