Fix T5 crack that leaks?

Car: 87 IROC, 96 Suburban
Engine: 5.0 TPI, Vortec 5.7
Transmission: T5, Built TCI 4L60E
Axle/Gears: 3.45 posi, 3.73 eaton locker
Fix T5 crack that leaks?
i have a t5 that has a crack right by the fill plug, its a hairline crack that just seaps but i need it sealed so i can get it to the body shop. i plan on doing a t56 swap in the future. does anyone have any suggestions on a good way to fix the leak for the short term?

LocTite 5900, it's a silicone but for engines, Chrysler used it on their transmissions instead of gaskets. Should run about $12, and would be sold at a tranny shop, would work perfect for a short trip. You would need a caulking gun.
