Is there anything speacial that i need to know about replacing my trans pump. i know the basic things that i have to do to replace it. But i dont want to screw it up so any help is appreciated.

pull the pan. pull the tcc solenoid. pull the trans filter. pull the tube for aux valve body that fits in the pump. pull the bolts for the pump. pull the pump with a pump puller (I use a pry bar between the pump and reverse input drum with success but carefully if no pump puller is available.) Why not rebuild yours? They rarely need more than a bushing and seals, just unbolt it once you get it out and go from there.
