When driving my camaro at wot, the tranny shifts fine from 1st to 2nd, but before it goes into 3rd it will jump up about 500rpms
then engage 3rd. It just started after i got my b&m shift kit put in. But when im crusing around at normal speed it wont jump, it shifts fine. As well when im at wot and manually shifting it, it dosent jump at all.
What do you thing it is?? its got 130thousand miles on the tranny.

Sounds like your tranny's clutches are worn!

yeah- the trans isnt engageing into the gear... sounds like the 2-3 shift isnt getting the proper pressure, or the clutches are shot

your trans gears are really worn and by putting the shift kit in it put more stress on the gears and thats why your now feallingit. best bet is to pull shift kit and save for rebuild or new trans.

Sounds like an apply pressure problem...

 

Thanks for the response guys, but i was reading some where that i would need to reajust my tv cable.. its never been adjusted. I talked to the guy i bought it from and he said the tranny was rebuilt a year ago. also ive never adjusted the tv cable nor has the owner..do you think that would help? or am i screwd on the tranny?
