Hi Everyone, I am new to this board but I have looked it over and found that you all do a great job. Now for my problem, My stepson has a 86 Z28 tpi car, and last summer I rebuilt the 305 in it and maybe did to good of job. It dident take long before the 700r4 was junk. So I told him to put a th350 in it. Him and his friends pulled the 700 out of it, then figured out they had no clue to what they were doing. so they brought the car to me to put it in , which I did, I went to Hook up the shifter cable and found that where the cable bolts to is missing. If someone has this piece that they would like to sell or even a picture of it so that i can make one , would make make me very greatfull. Thanks for your help.

I would suggest going to a junk yard.
the piece you're looking for is about 3 inches long, about 1 1/4" wide and fairly thick and almost S shaped. Kinda like the S in the KISS rock group logo but straightend slightly, has 1 circular hole on one end and a oblong hole on the other.
It shouldn't run you more than about 2 bucks and they are everywhere!
