Car can break 2 tires going left but only 1 going right?
Ok,
Ever since ive had the car I have noticed that while doing left turns and while doing donuts the car will only break both tires loose while going left...
If I sit in place, and kinda ease into the gas before I hit on it, both tires will spin.... but most of the time the left one will not spin if i try to do a brake stand...
Are the posi cones in my 9 bolt worn out?
Im tired of not being able to use both wheels to launch at the track... it makes for a very embarrassing attempt at a 1/4 run.....

Torque from the driveshaft puts more pressure on the left tire, which allows the right tire to spin with a standard differential. A good limited slip differential (posi) will spin both tires, even though the pressure on the contact patch is not equal. When you do a left turn the force of the body rolling over to the right puts more pressure on the right tire, which evens the pressure between the tires. Both tires will spin. When turning right you are increasing the pressure on the left tire, which already has more pressure on it. Even a good posi can slip in this situation, allowing the right tire to spin, but not the left.
Your Borg Warner posi can be repaired or made tighter if it isn't working right. Pontiac Posi Rebuilders in Ohio repaires them, and there is information on the web that shows you how to do it yourself.
