99MONGOOSE

My 1987 Iroc 5.7 TPI has 3.73 gears in the 9 bolt, borla cat back and shift kit. I power the car up until just prior to the wheels break lose and launch. I use bf goodrich comp t/a zrs not drag radials and get a 2.0 60ft. but I run out of rpm at the top end. The trans won't shift into 4th at WOT. the car ran a best of 14.3@93 with the borla exhaust fully closed. What should I do about the shifting? What about a stall converter? The car is stock except for the above mods and a hypertech thermomaster chip, temp switch, themostat 160'.

410GEARRATIO

I made it to the end of track with 410 gears on 3rd gear at 86mph with the 700r4,I launch at 2000rpms and shift at 5000rms and I just have enough when i shoot to the end of the track.

14x3 open element k&n filter,
hypertech, pullies, chip stage 2 , 160 thermo, 160 switch, gutted kitty, straight pipe no muffler turn down at rear end, smog pump delete, b&m cooler , shift kit and 410gears
15.72 @86mph with 2.2260ft and a full tank of gas(stupid i know)
