Where would be the best place to put an aftermarket guage sensor. I would like to put it in a place that gets the hottest. Preferably somewhere that is already tapped to accept a fitting. I have a 700-R4.

You mean in your tranny? I'm putting one in the pan. Going to either get an adapter for the drain plug hole or drill and tap for a separate hole expressly for the sensor. I'm putting mine in the pan because that's the temp of the fluid when it's picked up by the tranny.

I bought an autometer guage and a chrome tdi products pan. Drilled a 1/2 hole in the side of the pan and the sender screwed right in. Make sure to use some liquid teflon around the hole to make sure it doesnt leak.

I always thought it was best to run it into the cooler line going to the radiator. With a t fitting or somthing. Is the pan a better place?
