Having a lot of trouble shifting car from 1st to 2nd. Replaced clutch and hydrolic clutch assembly on my 84 Firebird 4cylinder 5speed. The 5 speed is not original to the car it is out of an 83.

It grinds from 1st to 2nd on a rare occasion.....any help in this area will be greatly appreciated....

Im thinking trouble in the throwout bearing.......
