The directions on the new Hurst shifter say to reuse the plastic cup bushing from my stock shifter. The one from my stock shifter has come up missing like so may other things during this swap. Here is the question. Will putting the shifter in without it and greasing the ball heavily suffice until I can travel to the nearest dealer that has any in stock? I have been to Auto zone, P-boys and oreilly's. none have it nor do any of the local dealers. The nearest one is almost an hour away that have any in stock.
