Re: th200c power question

run it till it pops-then put a th350 in-it's the same length as the 200 and the driveline will still fit.

Re: th200c power question

The 200 can work ok, add a Shift kit at least for now. Call TransGo on which hole feeds in the separator plate to change for a performance setup.

Re: th200c power question

When i installed my 343 hp 355, i left the 200c in and beat on it nasty for a whole year before swapping to my th350. Now its in my buddys hotrod 70 pickup behind a 408 small block. It's still going strong. It's a completely stock tranny, all i did when i picked up my car was change the fluid and filter, add a little Lucas, and installed a trans cooler. Its all in how you treat em. number 1 thing is to keep em cool, heat is the deadliest thing to a transmission. The 200c is notorious for blowing up behind big blocks, but as long as you dont run more than about 375 horses or 300 ft. lb. of torque you should be fine, and those numbers are pushing it.

Re: th200c power question

don't bother spending money on the 200. it will be the weak link behind your 383 and you would be money ahead using it for a th350 or 700r4 that can handle the power of a 383. the 200 is rated below 250 ft-lb and isn't worth the time or money IMO.

Re: th200c power question

go ahead and slap in a powerglide with some 4.11 gears and call it a day. youd have a real screamer!
