rebuilding my 700

What is the best complet rebuild kit for the tranny. It will mostly be used for road racing and street driving with a run down the strip every once and a while. Hard shifts are fine with me as the car is not my daily driver. I am also thinking of using a B&M 2400 converter. Aree these converters any good. What other converters should I look into. Thanks

For a one stop shopping spree, goto http://www.hptransparts.com and get the alto red eagle frictions with the 3/4 powerpack, the powerpack band, pump kit, torringten washer kit, thrust washer kit, bushing kit, rubber and o-ring kit, and a filter. I also replaced both sprags although only the roller sprag in mine showed wear.

If your input drum is hashed when you remove it (also check where the steels go in for wear) you can get a new one from http://www.gmpartsdirect.com the part # is 8681295 for the 87 1/2 and later 700R4.
