i have read some thread`s about swapping the ratio in the rear end!

here is my thing,i drive a camaro 1988 5,7 tpi with some modifications!
i also have a T-5 world class
now i will swap the ratio!
i have a 10 bolt gm 3.08 and i will swap it to 3.42 or another ratio
because i have read,that is the best swap for street or highway
and city driven
my engine has about 350-400 hp!

can you tell me something about the swap?
is it good what i will
when i cruisen on the highway about 65 mph my rpm is about 1750-1850
so my gasmillage is low now

how much rpm do i have about that mph with the new ratio?

I think you'll be in the neighborhood of 2000 rpms at 70 with the T5 and a 3.42 rear. I had 3.42s and a 700r4 and i was around 2500rpms at 75mph.
