How to recalibrate the speedo in a '90 Iroc (electric)??

Is there an electronic tool to recalibrate the speedo in a '90 Iroc with an electric speedo, such as the way the 4th gen guys do with HPP, or do I still have to switch parts in the tranny? I'm swapping my drum rear for a disc rear, and if I'm going to have everything apart, I'd like to change the gears. The car that the disc rear is coming out of has 124k on it, and I don't know how many on these gears, and at best 3.08:1 gears, but I have a feeling they're 2.77. My current rear has 3.08 which is nice on the highway, but lacking a little in acceleration, I'd only go up to 3.23 or 3.42's. Thanks for the help.

My90-

Yes you follow the same procedure, but the part numbers are different that the 700 gears. There is a site about it, but i can't find it.
