i'm not in danger of blowing either unit up yet but i was curious what kind of power i could push with the stock trans and rear end.

my new exhaust should be here and on the car in three weeks or so. after that i plan on some SLP runners, an Accel hi-flo base, and a ported plenum. after that i'll look into a hotter cam with the World Products 305 heads. i think that'll be the extent of my engine mods.

would i be able to run this combination without blowing my trans and rear end up? thanks.

Yah, should be fine, but its all a guessing game. Some people have broke their trans or rear end with stock engines, and others have wild mods with the stock stuff. Flip a coin.
