700 R4 "Kickdown bracket"
So, i just got my '86 Iroc out of two years in storage last august. I bought it with no motor or tranny. I built a 500+ horse 406 and bought a built 700R4 from advanced transmission with a one year warranty.
The car runs (****n awesome) and drives. Ha Ha
I bought a kickdown cable for an "86 iroc" from advance auto parts and have it installed and routed to the carb. (750 mechanical secondary) I have no bracket for this thing or know where to get one, or what one even looks like. So, i'm a bit leery of driving it, without the thing hooked up.
So, does anyone here have any idea if a stock bracket would work? And from what year/make of car? I'm running a victor jr. intake.
Thanks alot!

Re: 700 R4 "Kickdown bracket"
ok, so I'm confused, it seems like all I need to make it run stock is the bracket? Because the info on the reprogramming kit just says it turns it into a "auto-manual" thing. Have I got it right? Before I did my 400 SBC Carbed swap, my tpi always shifter fairly soon, unless at full throttle, and shifter HARD into second pretty much no matter what, was this not the way it should be? (first thirdgen, first chevy, first hotrod...lol) Thanks Guys!
