4th gen rear-end a direct swap?
Hey,
I found a rearend out of a 97 Z28 in my favorite junkyard and they only want $350 for it. Is this a direct swap into a third-gen car? Any fabrication needed or anything? What's involved in this swap? I'm tired of my 2.73 peg-leg! What size are the gears in these rearends?

Most are 3.42 posi. They're wider by about 1.5" on either side. Depending on the brakes you might need to get new brake lines for the rear disc if you had drum. I think there is a tech article about this.
