New trans filter questions....

Hey I was reading up on some stuff, because my transmission slips in 3rd gear. Some people were saying they had this happen and when they changed the transmission filter it worked. I bought a new filter and my question is , To drain the oil do I just drop the pan first? Or is there a drain plug? Wats the easiest way? Thanks guys....

Re: New trans filter questions....

if it's a manual transmission there will be a drain plug but third doesn't slip. without knowing what you are working on I am just guessing.
