Converter slippage vs rear gear ratio???

I have a manual valve body 700R4 that performs very well. I use a 10" converter that is flashing to about 3500 RPM at launch. I currently have 4.10 gear.

Without going into the detail, I need to move to a 3.73 gear. Should I expect converter slippage when racing to change as a result of the rear gear change?

With the 4.10 I'm getting about 8% slippage at the end of the track. Should this percentage change with the 3.73?

Thanks for any help,
RSR
