4L60E??

I just wanted to know how to tell the difference between the 700 R4 and a 4L60E. I looked up the two different transmissions and it said that the 4L60E as "electronic" models. Just curious because I might have to get a new torque converter and wanted to know if there was a difference when locating a new torque converter.....

Any help would be great

Re: 4L60E??

the 4l60e and 700r4 can use the same torque converter provided that the 4l60e has the small tip on the input shaft/engine size etc.
the 700r4 and 4l60e are a different transmission/yes. but similar on some stuff. a 4l60e has a 20 pin connector on the passenger side of it, and the pan looks the same as a 700r4. the 700r4 has a four wire connector on the drivers side. that should be enough info to get you into trouble eh?
