Does anyone have a ring and pinion set to fit 87 T.A. GTA ring gear is a 7.75" real odd ball.

 

A 10 bolt is 7 1/2" or 7 5/8". A Borg Warner 9 bolt is 7 3/4".

9 bolt ring gears are hard to find. Some gear suppliers in North America carry them but the best choice is from Australia.

Strange engineering has a ring gear for your 9-bolt. The thing is is that it is a 3.70. If you wanted to put better gears in, well, here you go. This is the only after market gear made for the 9-bolt, it cost 320.00 dollars. Other than that you can go to the dealer I think they want over 400.00 bucks. They have the stock gears if you really want them, if not give strange a call they have the install kit as well. It's a pretty strong gear capable of handling more horsepower than the stock one.
