which is better

iv looked but cant find this one. which would be better for speed, changing the gears in my t5 or changing the gears in the rearend cause i just swapped the tbi 305 motor to a 350 carb with 305 heads, performer intake, and a holley 650 demon carb and when i drive it it feels as if the motor isnt even sweating at all so i want to change the gears in the tranny and the rearend but due to money issues im going to have to focus on one at a time. so which should i do first that would give me a noticable boost.

You only need to do one. The rear end is the best to do. 373's rule.

Cheap gears and rear gear change should NOT be used in the same sentence. Do a lot of reseach before even thinking about buying parts. Numer one, is what is in the rear NOW?? Then go from there, just my opinion.

If you're thinking about changing gears, take a look at the following link for some info that you may not have considered:

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/tran...-10-bolts.html

Or as DJP sometimes points out, a rear end swap might be more cost effect than changing gears.
