Probuilt.... how much will a 700r4 cost... I have an 84 Z28 with 700r4 and it has started leaking tranny fluid and and slipping real bad... I have been quoted $1000 for stock rebuild... I have a 350 which has been built to be a stout little motor but my tranny won't let me beat my wife's 99 mustang gt.

 

also... can a driveshaft from say a 93 up Z28 fit in my 84????? If so which years and what should I look for???????

 

I got mine built by a local engine builder for $1500, with new planetaries, steels, Corvette servo and converter, and TCI valve body kit.

 

The street/strip version sells for $1350.00 outright, and comes with a one year warranty. I need to more about your engine, rear end gear ratio, type of driving etc., to make a torque converter recommendation. As you know I am a distributor for Continental, Precision Industries, and ACT.
