swapping 86 TA disc Rearend into 92 RS
swapping 86 TA disc Rearend into 92 RS
I was wondering if its worth it for me to swap a 86 transam rear with disc brakes into my 92 rs 305. The rear came off a 86 ta with 305 TPI. Can anyone tell me what gears it has? And is this a job worth the effort. Thanks alot

Is it a 9-bolt or a 10-bolt? You might have to swap some more components as well, like the master cylinder, proportioning valve, and the parking brake, but the rear end will bolt up. To get the gear ratio, turn the axles and count the number of times the yoke turns.
