Reuse Shift Kit?

My tranny is going out and I have a transgo shift kit in it and I am getting a new tranny. Is it possible to remove the shift kit from the bad one and reinstall it in the good one?

Re: Reuse Shift Kit?

I've done it several times, with never an issue, but I never tried the Trans-Go brand.

Is it easy to switch? How long does it usually take?

Re: Reuse Shift Kit?

shift kits are installed in the valve body so if you reuse the valve body you should be good, be sure the valve body has been cleaned properly.
