Manual valvebody question
Can you put a forward or reverse manual valve automatic in a street car?

As long as you remember that it's a manual valve body and you can start moving in any gear just like a manual transmission. Start driving around in third gear all the time and the tranny will quickly die.
The difference between a manual valve body and a manual shift kit is that the shift kit may still allow full automatic operation while left in drive.

I recommend the Trans-Go Performance Shift kit. You still have the ability to manually shift transmission when in a race, but retain the full automatic features when normal driving. If you have any questions call me at 800 7763288 Mon-Sat 10-6 PST.

I second Pro Built on this. If you have ever driven a full manual on the street you know that it gets old quick, plus make absolutely sure that the shifter adjustment is PERFECT. I once had a guy with a full manual C-6 (Ford) toast in a couple of days. Upon inspection of the tranny I could find no cause for this. I checked the tranny once it was in the car and found that in the Man 1 and 2 positions the tranny and the shifter didn't agree and was dumping/crossleaking oil from one circuit to another. I adjusted it so it would be OK (I learned to HATE aftermarket shifters) and I never saw it again.
