Can a shift kit hurt your tranny????

I have an 84 Camaro with a 700R4 that has about 74,000 miles on it. It used to shift real good - nice and firm. Since the torque converter installation, it shifts really softly. So I ordered a Transgo shift kit. Will installing this shift kit hurt my trans in any way? By the way, I do have the B&M trans cooler. ANY help would be greatly appr eciated. Thanks.

The Trans-Go Performance Shift kit when installed correctly will help the shifts and the life expectancy of the transmission under hard driving. Make sure it has the boost (2) valves & Corvette servo. The TV cable adjustment could be the reason why you are having soft shifts. Look at transfixleos earlier posts on this board on how to adjust the TV cable correctly!
Hope This Helps!!!
