6 speed Shift pattern...

Hey, anoyone who's swapped in a 6 speed ever change the small plastic block that has the shift pattern on it? I checked with Dal, but apparently that little piece is only available as part of the console (no guarantee it even COMES off).

Any ideas?

The pattern is painted onto the console. I just lightly sanded the paint off of mine. I was thinking of painting it myself but never got around to it. My new Hurst shifter ball should be arriving today though. It has the 6 speed gate pattern inscribed onto the ****. It is also bigger than the stock leather wrapped ball (I think it's 2 14" diameter). That should be sufficient for me. You can get it from Jeg's. Part # 530-163-0116. It costs $29.99. I'll let everyone know how it feels and looks.
